Reigning cats and dogs. A bevy of beautiful beasts are parked in the yard all hunched on their haunches. Nap catching pampered pets, preening in preposterous poses. Some are munchin' something, others are doing something to some things. Wheezing trees sway in the breeze. A dog sneezes. It's a siesta fiesta for the lawn fauna, lounging lazily on a long, languid, liquid afternoon. Fat, furry, felines and fido's lumber lazily through the lush green brush. Well fed, over-bred domestic dependents, resplendent in fabulous fur, scamper and scurry but not in a hurry. They may be wary but they do not worry, although the dearies do get weary. They ramble and amble, gaily gamboling all the live-long day. Living the life of curious luxuriousness. Walking their talking masters fast past gawking ecclesiasts. Or perhaps performing positively perfect purring for a patron's pampering. Do not tease a crabby tabby. Do not pinch the Doberman. Do not squeeze the Siamese. Don't talk to the Cockatoo. These are civilized animals.
