Bixby - Hobson

According to Lügner's papers, the Bixby-Hobson team was a match made in Hell. Having similar ideas regarding mechanical-human combinations, these men thought that by teaming together they might enhance each others skills and achieve a greater success rate. Lügner opines in his papers that the two, from the beginning, sought to steal each other's secrets. He goes on to document what became a clash of colossal egos. These scientists 'accidentally' destroyed each other's notes, sabotaged each others experiments and blamed each other for their failures (even when there was no foul-play). The results of this ill-fated collaboration were mercifully short-lived but among the strangest creatures that ever breathed.
Bixby wore an eye-patch over his left eye and wore a monocle on the right. He also wore an artificial nose to cover the one bitten off by one of his creations. That, the multiple scars and the steel plate in his head attest to other attacks.
Hobson, a polio victim as a child, coincidentally also wore a monocle in his right eye. He had a very large mechanical prosthesis for his amputated left arm, lost in a nuclear experiment. Those experiments also cause his head and neck mutation. Twisted physically as well as mentally, Dr. Hobson was a bitter and paranoid man. Lügner speculates that Hobson strove to create creatures more miserable than himself, perhaps to boost his self esteem.
