The original Gastropod The Gastropod ("walking stomach") was the first attempt at a garbage eater. It was essentially a human subject with and enlarged digestive system enhanced to facilitate hyper-digestion. Edwin, as the Dr. referred to him, could digest, in addition to any organic substance, ferrous metals and most plastics. Edwin became the Dr.'s test platform for experimental digestive systems. |

The Stationary Consumer This prototype was designed to be permanently connected directly to a household sewer system. This 'device' which had no first name like the other gastropods, had the same capabilities as Edwin except the ability to speak. The stationary approach addressed the problem of these 'dispos-alls' wandering around eating things they weren't supposed to. |

Gastropod II This was the second attempt at a garbage eater. It was again essentially a human subject with and enlarged digestive system enhanced to facilitate hyper-digestion. Franklin, as the Dr. referred to this specimen, like the original Gastropod, could digest, any organic substance, ferrous metals and most plastics. Franklin was less obese than the original gastropod. This made it easier to clothe, thus concealing the plumbing necessary to offload it's waste byproducts, and making it slightly less freakish than it's previous versions. |
